PROJECT MANAGEMENT
‘The science of Project Management is not theory based, but practically based through years of technical experience, hands on work practices and risk management methodology of many complex tasks to achieve predetermined client objectives which normally revolve around time, cost and quality parameters’. Barry Jakeman – Project Director, 2003.
AUSASIA’s depth of knowledge, experience, strength and passion to strive for these objectives is strengthened by their devotion and commitment to the development projects and their clients. With a single point of accountability on all projects from initiation to total completion, AUSASIA’s Principals underwrite their performance by being personally involved throughout the development. The pinnacle of AUSASIA’s performance is governed by their continuing business with the same client, over and over again.

‘In my role as Engineering Manager for Brookfield Multiplex Australia, I was asked by the business to investigate opportunities of direct overseas procurement, specifically in Asia. We needed a local company that could assist us and provide the necessary contacts overseas with experience in this field, AusAsia were the standout business for this.
Barry Jakeman from AusAsia provided the expertise and contacts that we needed to enable us to go to China and investigate the opportunities first hand. Early last year both myself and Barry travelled to China where we spent a week visiting factories, manufacturing facilities and showrooms looking at a wide variety of products ranging from Facades to Sanitaryware items. Barry’s contacts, knowledge and understanding of the local culture and his wealth of experience in procurement was extremely impressive and made our trip both informative and engaging.
When I returned to Australia, my report back to the executive team at Brookfield Multiplex recommended a strategy document be drafted and a procurement model implemented to commence overseas procurement with AusAsia. I have since left my role at Brookfield Multiplex to take up an executive position at AG Coombs Group’.– Danny McGregor, General Manager Major Projects. A.G. Coombs Pty Ltd (Projects)
PROCUREMENT MANAGEMENT
The process of Procurement Management is a complex and often misunderstood process that allows
direct access to Asian suppliers for savings over local wholesale and retail pricing.
AusAsia Procurement Management Pty Ltd has spent considerable time in assessing and selecting the Asian supply and manufacturing companies that have excellent track records in supply to Australia and have good knowledge of Australian standards and quality expectations.
AusAsia Procurement Management Pty Ltd only procures from the manufacturer, and does not deal with any trading houses or middle-men – This is the key to successful procurement.
Our clients are connected directly to the manufacturer, and all orders and payments are made direct,
thus ensuring that the goods, warranties and cash flow is between the client and supplier.
Generally, the savings over local pricing is around fifty per cent plus, this can often assist a
development to proceed, as the construction cost can be reduced substantially.
